Order casket flowers with the family and funeral home
Flowers for a funeral should follow the family’s wishes and the service plan. A casket spray is a particular arrangement placed on a casket, not a default gift for every memorial. Before paying, ask the family or funeral home whether flowers are wanted, who is coordinating them and where they should arrive.
Confirm the arrangement’s role
A florist’s funeral guide distinguishes a casket spray from a standing spray, wreath, tabletop basket or plant. Ask the family and funeral home which format fits the service, casket or memorial space. A smaller sympathy bouquet sent to the family may be more suitable when the casket flowers are already arranged or the service has no casket.
Do not infer a universal religious or cultural preference from an old article. The family’s request and venue guidance are the primary decision points.

Give the florist exact service details
Provide the funeral home name, address, contact number, service and viewing times, recipient name and card wording. Ask the funeral home when it can receive and place the flowers, then have the florist confirm its actual availability, substitutions and delivery method. The florist may not be allowed to set the display itself.
FTD’s florist guidance recommends coordinating setup with the funeral home. Same-day and nationwide-network claims depend on the seller and location; do not treat them as guarantees.

Keep the message simple
A brief condolence note can name a memory or offer support without promising that flowers will ease grief. Ask who should receive the card and whether the family prefers another form of remembrance. Save the order confirmation and a contact number for problems on the day.
If ordering from afar, verify the final charge, timing and refund or substitution terms before submitting payment.
